Date Stamps & Watermarks
Add date stamps to show when each photo was taken, or watermarks for branding your timelapse.
Date Stamps
Date stamps display the date (and optionally time) on your photos and exported video.
Enabling Date Stamps
- Gallery date labels: Settings → Gallery Settings → Date labels (toggle on)
- Export date stamps: Settings → Date Stamp → Enable

Custom formats let you create any date pattern. Export formats can include time (hours, minutes) while gallery formats are date-only.
Position
Choose where the date stamp appears:
- Upper Left
- Upper Right
- Lower Left
- Lower Right (Default for export)
Opacity
Control how visible the date stamp is:
- Range: 0% (invisible) to 100% (fully visible)
- Default: 100%
Fonts
Bundled Fonts
AgeLapse includes 5 fonts:

Custom Fonts
Add your own fonts for a personal touch:
- Supported formats:
.ttfand.otf - Max file size: 10 MB
How to add a custom font:
- Go to Settings → Date Stamp → Font
- Select Custom (TTF/OTF)
- Choose your font file
- The font will be installed and available immediately
Custom fonts persist across app restarts. You can install multiple custom fonts.
Watermarks
Add a watermark image to your video output.
Enabling Watermarks
Settings → Watermark → Enable
Position
- Upper Left
- Upper Right
- Lower Left (Default)
- Lower Right
Opacity
- Range: 0% to 100%
- Default: 70%
A lower opacity makes the watermark more subtle while still visible.
Collision Handling
If you place both a date stamp and watermark in the same corner, AgeLapse automatically adds spacing between them so they don't overlap.
For example, if both are set to "Lower Right," the date stamp will shift up slightly to make room for the watermark below it.
